Hawzah News Agency - Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of Iran’ seminaries, said in a speech on Monday, June 27 at the ceremony of honoring and introducing the new head of the Wilayah International TV said, “The establishment of the Wilayah Global TV is based on foresight, optimism, strategic vision and comprehensive view of the Shia source of emulation Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, who has displayed his initiatives, innovations and creativity in different periods of the seminary.”
The member of the Supreme Council of the Iranian Cultural Revolution continued, “The Islamic seminary has witnessed great movements throughout its 100-year history, the most important of which was the glorious 1979 Islamic Revolution, which took place with the presence and support of the great nation of Iran. I would like to thank the nation of Iran who stand by Islam in all circumstances who would even sacrifice their lives for the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT).
Ayatollah Arafi asserted, “The history of the Islamic seminary is a manifestation of wisdom, learning sciences, struggles, courage, bravery, endurance; after the Islamic Revolution of Iran and in recent decades, the seminary moved towards an international approach and expanded the scope of activities and its interactions.”
The representative of the people of Tehran in the Assembly of Leadership Experts continued,” I do not want to claim that we are in an ideal situation and even regarding international approaches, civilization as well as comprehensive approach in order to utilize all new means, we have shortages and of course such issues can be solved.”
In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Arafi addressed the employees of the Wilayah International TV Network and said, "Since this center is under the supervision of Shia authorities and attributed to the Islamic seminary, so you must work present honesty and dedication in your activities which means presenting accurate and valuable content by adhering to the scientific content of Islamic theological collections.”
He highlighted the Wilayah International TV agenda as "Pursuing goals and reaching the summit, developing interaction and communication with various cultural and religious networks in the Islamic world, utilization of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, Discourse building, focus on the religious commonalities of the Muslim World as well as avoidance of strife and injustice and serious attention to the category of art.”
The head of the seminaries concluded, "Nowadays, our international and national TV networks can stand against the networks of enemies with a long-term plan, relying on their ability and commitment to their mission for the Muslim Community."
